Same as regular season except you start 6 guys.... the normal 5 and now a Tight End. Oh, and you can only use a player once in the playoffs!

We had some crazy weeks this season... week 17 had to be one the craziest yet. Our tied for second place teams ended up in the money but both slipped to the Brothers In Arms who made a huge gain on Sunday. They are sending thank you cards to THomas Jones right now! Hartford Hoodlums, Remember the Gophers, Team Bushey, 5 Bucks and Brothers in Arms were all new to the money spots... for that I offer congrats! Green Disease finishes 7th after winning it all last year, kudos for that, adn John Skorzewski had a solid run all year.... way to go troops!
I am shocked to see teams such as Jason LaMay, Joe D, Team Merliss, Team Adduci, DC Express amongst others not have a stronger year. I hope you guys all give it a shot again next year. I know we will have more teams next year. I would love to get the league to 50 people, imagine that! Who would be top dog then? I am up for it, are you?
Quickly I wanted to mention some of the crazy records that were broken this year... Most Overall Points (was 755, now 841) in a season was actually broken by 12 teams! I was fortunate enough to end up with th most. 12 teams! Not bad! I think that had alot to do with adding in the extra points for kickers. Another crazy records that I thought would NEVER be broken was TDs picked in a week (old record was 11 now it is 12) two people did this in week 6 of the season. Thanks to Tom Brady, Randy Moss and MJD myseld and Mark DiBattista were able to select 12 TDs in one week. That will be hard to break!
I hope everyone tells at least one buddy of theirs about our little league... each year we have grown in numbers till this year. There were 36 teams in 2008 and 2009. I am going to make a push to get some of our 2008 people back in. I am even up for a huge discount for a second entry or a referal. If anyone has any ideas.... please share them. I am always open for thoughts.
I encourage everyone again to join our playoff league... it is the same style of pick em weekly...except you also pick a tight end and you can only pick a player once! There is an added strategy to the playoffs in which you have to make sure you have guys, good guys, left to play in the Superbowl game.
2009 Pick5Football Payouts
This year’s pool is our best ever. We have 36 owners in the league this year. Thank you to everyone who gave it a shot this year and joined. I hope to have all of you back next year and with a couple of your friends each. The more the merrier!
We are paying out 8 spots instead of 7 this year. Almost all of the other spots payouts have increased. ALL $$$ is paid back into the league, your commish takes nothing! Here is the math: 36 teams x100 (-5.00 credit) 3595.00, -75 for website, -50 for perfect roster pool, 17x5 (week highs) -85, -20 Survivor pool. Over 22% of the league earns money back!
Total in: $3,595.00, Total out: -230, Pot = $3,365.00

The Pick5Football Perfect Roster Challenge ($150 Jackpot)!!
The Perfect Roster Challenge for 2009 is here and this is how it works… Each week when you submit your starting line-up you have a shot at selecting the top QB, RB, WR/TE, K & DEF. If you are ever able to pick all 5 positions and they end up scoring the most points in their respective category then you will win our league jackpot (currently $100) The pot jumps up to $150 once the 2009 season starts. If no one wins the Perfect Roster Challenge this year then it will be carried over into the playoffs and then into the regular season next year, until someone finally completes this challenge. You must have all 5 positions correctly in order to win, no exceptions. In case of ties this jackpot is split and if we have a winner the pot will start up again next season.
